Elopement
Elopement Special - Just the two of you, the birds in the trees, and the simplest wedding in the world...
(Includes two witnesses, either your guests or our staff, and the wedding night in a medium tipi) - from £550 (see prices).
We always knew there were a few of you that wanted to disappear into the sunset after a very private ceremony, which is why we introduced our elopement special years ago - its proved incredibly popular with those of you that don't want the fuss of a big wedding but still want to make it a day that's really yours.
You still use our dedicated wedding pavilion for the ceremony, the lake & woods for pictures and post-ceremony drinks or picnics, and have the same back up and support in the lead up & during your day as any other wedding here.
If you really want to elope, but also feel you really want your parents/sister/brother/children/best friend there too, then its our elopement special plus that you're after. This gives you a total of up to 10 people including bride & groom, bride & bride, or groom & groom. You won't need our staff as witnesses as you'll have plenty of your own; but you'll still get your wedding night in a tipi & dreamy pictures rowing round the lake - from £950 (see prices). Optional evening areas are available for a campfire after 6pm.
Renewal of Vows
You can go just about anywhere for this lovely occasion; West Africa, the Bahamas, the parish church you originally got married in – or maybe a more radical move. We weren't here for some of you the first time round but we're here now with a really special set up for your renewal of vows. Somewhere that suits you both - & where you know your family & friends will have a great time. Renewal of vows are charged the same as wedding ceremonies & receptions.
Naming Ceremonies
Naming ceremonies, the civil equivalent of a christening (and yes it does sound nicer, but we can’t call it that) are just a lovely thing to be involved in. Proud parents and bouncing babies, Grand & Godparents (interestingly, they’re still called that), lots of little people running about excitedly – once again our pavilion and surrounding stream, meadows & trees provide the perfect setting for what is usually the new addition’s first proper party – and one where they’re the star.
Of course you haven’t got to be a baby to be officially named; quite often parents will welcome older children formally into everyone’s lives this way as well, either by themselves or perhaps with a younger sibling. If you're not planning to use our main marquee, we'll charge you 50% of a standard wedding rate as you'll be down in the pavilion area, lake and woods.
We're also licenced for citizenship ceremonies and memorials - if either of these is something you'd like to think about holding here do get in touch for a chat about how it all works.
